Make Sure to Clean Underneath Your Kitchen Appliances
Challenge
A new customer in Hazlet, NJ was having a problem with ants in her kitchen. She was confused as to why she had ants to begin with because she cleans her kitchen weekly. Sure enough, when we started our inspection, the kitchen was spotless! However, our expert pest knowledge told us to check underneath the stove and the other kitchen appliances. So we did just that and BINGO! That's where the ants were harboring!
When it comes to cleaning, many homeowners either don't or forget to clean underneath their dishwasher, fridge, oven, and other kitchen appliances. Make no mistake, pests will take full advantage of these hard-to-clean areas and infest your home. After showing what we found to the homeowner, she was horrified at how many crumbs and food debris were underneath her appliances and cabinets! She immediately began to clean those areas.
Solution
After helping her clean up all the debris, we treated all the baseboards, cracks, and crevices in the kitchen with a liquid residual application and an ant gel bait. As a precaution, we treated the exterior of the home with the liquid residual. Once the ants come in contact with either of these applications, they will return to their nest and transfer the treatments throughout their colony. A short while later, the ants are exterminated.
