Bed Bugs Infest Multi-Family Building in Howell, NJ
Challenge
While performing an inspection of a multi-family complex in Howell, NJ, we came across one unit that had a heavy infestation of bed bugs. They were residing in the seams of the mattress, the bed frame, the pillows, and even the end table! Fortunately, the infestation didn't spread to the other units, but if not immediately taken care of, it's only a matter of time until it does!
Solution
First, we vacuumed up the live bed bugs and, at the request of the homeowner, we carefully disposed of all the infested materials. Next, we treated the baseboards, bed frame, and the surrounding areas with a bio-pesticide application. This product creates a barrier that infects and exterminates the bed bugs over a short period of time. Lastly, we scheduled several follow-up visits to monitor the infestation and, if needed, apply any additional treatments.
