Homeowners Son Gets Attacked by Hornets in the Attic in Plainsboro, NJ
Challenge
A new client in Plainsboro, NJ, frantically called our office after her son was stung by several hornets' in her attic (fortunately, her son wasn't allergic to bee stings)! We immediately were sent out to inspect and treat.
After several moments of inspecting the attic, we located the nest in a corner of the attic. The nest was located on the rafters as well as on the insulation! Turns out, there was a tiny hole in that corner, which allowed the hornets to infest the home. The hole will not only lead to future pest infestations but also a mold problem in the attic! We told the homeowner what we found and she informed us that she will call her roofer to come and repair the hole ASAP.
Solution
After speaking to the homeowner, we began our treatment process. First, we injected an aerosol product directly into the opening of the nest, which will eliminate the hornets almost immediately. A short while later, we removed the nest and, as requested by the homeowner, the infested insulation and properly disposed of them.
