First Things First

First we removed all of the debris out of the crawl space, leveled it and installed a dimpled plastic drainage matting. This allows all excess moisture to work its way over to the new sump pump we installed.

Now the Vapor Barrier

Next, we installed our vapor barrier. This heavy-duty material is treated with an antimicrobial finish that protects against mold and mildew growth and is a 20-mil 7-ply sandwich of high and low-density polyethylene with a polyester-cord reinforcement

Installed

We installed the vapor barrier over the foundation walls and floor to create a continuous air and moisture barrier. This will also prevent outside air and moisture from entering the crawl space.

SilverGlo™ Insulation

Lastly, we installed SilverGlo™ along the walls of the crawl space. SilverGlo™ is a durable and waterproof rigid foam insulation that seals the walls from outside moisture and humidity.
