Via the Gable Vent
Both the nuisance birds and the raccoons were getting in through the damaged gable vent.
Removed & Disinfected
First, we carefully removed all the nesting debris and then disinfected the attic. Next, we installed a one-way device over the gable vent and then temporarily enclosed it with hardware cloth.
Only One-Way
The one-way is designed to allow the raccoons to safely leave the area but prevent them from getting back in. We also placed several baited devices along the raccoons path. Once all the raccoons and birds have been safely removed from the home, we're going to disinfect the area again and install Pest-Blok over the gable vent. Pest-Blok doesn't restrict the airflow to the attic, undergoes a silicone-protected polyester coating process that makes it last longer, and guards the home against all nuisance wildlife & birds.
