We carefully removed the nesting debris, disinfected the area to remove any pathogens and bird mites, and properly discarded the debris.
Sealed Up
Next, as a temporary solution since the owner was going to replace it, we sealed the vent with hardware cloth to prevent any additional nuisance birds from reinfesting the area.
