Attic Insulation Photo Album: Cleaning Up After the Bats & Reinsulating the Attic in Sea Girt, NJ
Now that our Nuisance Wildlife team had safely and successfully removed all the bats that were infesting this homeowners attic, we're here to clean up the mess and reinsulate it.
Droppings on the Insulation
As you can see, there was a plethora of bat droppings on top of the insulation...
Check Underneath
...and underneath it!
Dispose of it All
We carefully removed all the contaminated insulation and disposed of them.
Clean Up
We also vacuumed up all the droppings and disinfected the entire attic.
Air Sealed
Next, we air sealed all the gaps and cracks in the attic. This will eliminate air flow between the living space and the attic, improving energy efficiency.
Now for TruSoft
Afterward, we added over 10 inches of TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation, which will fill the attic to its recommended insulation levels. TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation has a higher R-value than standard fiberglass insulation, has the highest Class-1 fire safety rating, is resistant to mold and pests, and is eco-friendly!
Attic Door Insulation Cover
Lastly, we installed an attic door insulation cover. This attic door insulation cover is made of high-quality fireproof materials and 2 layers of aluminum, which can effectively block heat transfer, make your indoor temperature more pleasant, and give you a comfortable and healthy environment.
