Photo Album: Bald-Faced Hornet Nest Removal in Freehold, NJ
We were sent out on a service for a new residential client in Freehold, NJ who noticed a large number of bees flying around his porch area. When we arrived, we discovered that these stinging insects were bald-faced hornets.
Hiding in the Shrubs
As soon as we approached the porch we saw a number of bald-faced hornet's flying around a bush near the front door.
An Active Bald-Faced Hornet's Nest
We inspected the bush and came across an active and aggressive bald-faced hornet's nest. This nest was approximately 6 inches in diameter, meaning that there is a lot of bald-faced hornet's residing inside the nest.
Not a Friendly Pest
Bald-faced hornets are territorial and will attack anyone or anything that comes within close proximity of their nest.
Carefully Treat the Nest
We put on our bee suits and treated the bottom entryway out of the nest and the surrounding area around the nest with an aerosol application, which eliminates the bald-faced hornets on contact.
Nest Removal
After the hornets nest was treated, we cut down the nest, properly disposed of it, and cleaned up the area.
