As this customer in Hopewell, NJ was renovating his basement he discovered something interesting inside one of his walls — an active wasp nest! After getting stung several times, he did an online search, found Cowleys, and gave us a call. Once we arrived and saw the nest, we did some detective work and started inspecting the exterior of the home. As we did, we noticed that a large number of yellow jackets were hovering around a small gap in the siding. Turns out, the yellow jackets were using it to infest the home! We treated this opening with a knockdown dusting and a knockdown aerosol application. Both of these treatments will rapidly exterminate the yellow jackets. We then went inside and treated the large nest with the knockdown aerosol product. After several moments, we removed the wasp nest and properly disposed of it. The homeowner will patch up the hole in the wall on his own and will repair the exterior opening.
