Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Gable Vent Prime Access Point for Bats in Cream Ridge, NJ
Bats were getting into the home via the gable vent.
Get the Bats Out Safely
Since the gable vent is how the bats were getting in, we installed a bat cone over the area and temporarily enclosed it with hardware cloth.
Bats Can't Get Back In
The bat cone will allow the bats to exit the area safely but prevent them from getting back in.
Now for the Louvered Vent Guard
After a short period of time, all the bats were safely removed from the home. We then disinfected the attic and went back to our trucks to fashion a louvered vent guard.
Excluded the Bats
We then installed it over the gable vent. The louvered vent guard is made out of heavy-duty Galvannealed steel. It won't rust, is customized to accommodate vents of all shapes and sizes, and properly secures the gable vents from not just bats, but nuisance wildlife and birds too.
