Wildlife Removal Photo Album: Protecting the Attic Fan from Raccoons in Sea Girt, NJ
A raccoon was infesting the attic by squeezing through the attic fan.
Entering Through the Attic Fan
The raccoon was able to gain access into the attic through the attic fan!
We're Staying Positive
To safely retrieve the raccoon, we installed a positive set directly over the access point as well as set up several baited devices nearby. A positive set is comprised of a nose cone that is attached to a two-gaited, heavy-duty device. The nose cone will safely guide the raccoon into the device. It's called a positive set, because we are positive that the raccoon will enter the device. A short while later, we safely retrieved the raccoon, and relocated it to new humane environment.
Attic Fan Cover
To prevent any future nuisance wildlife infestations, we installed a sturdy attic fan cover.
Excludes all Nuisance Wildlife
The attic fan cover is made of heavy-duty 18 Gauge expanded Galvannealed steel mesh and will prevent raccoons, as well as all nuisance wildlife, from gaining access into the home via the attic fan.
