Excluded Bats from the Home with Ridge Guard® in Freehold, NJ
Challenge
This homeowner was having an issue with bats getting into her attic and making a mess, so she contacted our Little Rascals Nuisance Wildlife Division for help. A short while after setting up our removal devices, we successfully and safely removed all the bats from the home. Now we need to prevent them from getting back in!
Solution
First, we fully disinfected the attic area. Next, since the bats were invading the home by entering the ridge vent, we installed Ridge-Guard®. Ridge-Guard® secures and reinforces the ridge vent shingles so that bats, flying squirrels, and other nuisance wildlife are unable to enter. Next, we installed an attic fan cover, which is made out of heavy-duty 18 Gauge expanded Galvannealed steel mesh and prevents all nuisance wildlife from entering the home through the attic fan. Now the home is properly guarded from all nuisance wildlife.
