Pests We Treat Photo Album: Let's Check on the German Cockroach Activity in Englishtown, NJ
We're back at this restaurant in Englishtown, NJ to check up on the German cockroach activity.
Still Have Cockroaches
As we checked on our monitoring devices, we confirmed that there was still a hefty amount of German cockroaches infesting the restaurant.
Feces on the Walls
There was a lot of cockroach feces all over the walls on the kitchen and the foundation soda area.
Treat These Areas First
We showed the owner and his workers and told them that another intensive treatment was needed. So, after they removed all the items out of the kitchen and disposed of any contaminated items, we treated the sitting area, kitchen, and sink room with a residual application that's combined with an EPA registered insect growth regulator. This treatment affects the cockroaches' reproductive system and prevents them from reaching adulthood.
Baiting the Cockroaches
We also applied gel bait to some other areas in the kitchen. Once the cockroaches feed on the gel bait, they can no longer reproduce. After that, we treated the main harborage areas with a knockdown aerosol product. This is going to flush the cockroaches out of hiding and rapidly exterminate them.
Replacing All The Monitoring Devices
Lastly, we replaced every single one of the monitoring devices and then scheduled some additional return inspections. We will continue to monitor the cockroach infestation and apply any additional treatments until the German cockroaches are no longer infesting the restaurant.
