We located the termite swarm in the slab underneath the vanity in the master bathroom. Since termites live beneath ground level, the first thing we did was drill into the vanity and the floor underneath the vanity as well as around the exterior of the home.
Now Comes the Treatment for Termites
Once we were finished, we injected a liquid termiticide into the slab underneath the vanity and around the entire perimeter of the home.
How the Termiticide Works Against Termites
The termiticide binds to the treated areas and creates a protective zone that the termites can't detect. The termites will unknowingly come in contact with this treatment as they go about their normal routines, bring it back to their nest, and transfer it among their colony. Once we finished, we plugged and filled in each drill hole. In a short amount of time, the termites will be exterminated and the home will be protected from termites for many years to come.
