Fruit Flies All Over the Bar
Once we inspected the bar, we found a plethora of fruit flies hovering around the area.
Nice Thought
The fruit flies were attracted to the all the mixed fruit throughout the bar. The staffed wrapped the fruits that they mix in with their drinks with cellophane. Although this seems like a good idea, the problem is that the cellophane loosens up and creates small openings in which the fruit flies can enter and breed.
Must be Discarded
We advised that the owner throw away all the contaminated items and, moving forward, store all food items in air tight containers. The owner agreed and discarded all the fruit.
Our Treatment for Fruit Flies
In the meantime we applied a liquid application in all the floor drains and then scrubbed them out with our heavy-duty scrubbing brush. Next, we applied a bio-foam solution that removes the organic build-up, odors, and scum in the drains.
Now for the Fly Bait
Lastly, we treated the infestation areas with a fly bait to control the adult fruit flies. In a short amount of time, the fruit flies will be exterminated.
