Pests We Treat Photo Album: Bald-Faced Hornets Nesting by Second Story Window in Ocean Grove, NJ
We're in Ocean Grove, NJ, responding to a complaint about a bald-faced hornets' nest near the second-story roofline of this home.
That's a High Nest
While inspecting the home, we noticed a medium-sized bald-faced hornets' nest under the soffit area right next to the master bedroom window!
A Little Bit About Bald-Faced Hornets
Bald-faced hornets are not the friendliest stinging insects. They are extremely aggressive and territorial and will not hesitate to attack anything that comes close to their nest!
Injecting the Application
Using our ladder and extendable pole, we treated the interior of the nest by injecting and fogging it with a knockdown aerosol product. This treatment almost immediately neutralizes the bald-faced hornets.
Taken Down
After several moments, we scraped down the nest and properly discarded any debris. Lastly, we treated the area with a residual application to make sure the hornets don't attempt to rebuild another nest in the future.
