When it comes to stinging insects, before beginning an inspection, I need to equip my protective bee suit.
Through the Window
After a thorough inspection I found the yellow jackets nest in the soffit right above the classroom window. They were then entering the classroom through a gap in the window.
Another Nest
While inspecting, I found another yellow jackets nest in the soffit right above the entrance to the building. I injected a knockdown dusting product along the soffit area in both locations.
Exterminating the Yellow Jackets
This product rapidly eliminates the yellow jackets. Once the activity ceased, I removed both nests, disposed of them properly, sealed the gaps in the window and the soffit area with a waterproof adhesive, and applied a residual product to both areas to prevent reinfestation. Now the school, the staff, and the students are protected from dangerous yellow jackets.
