One Small Opening
I inspected and saw where the ants were entering the laundry room and decided to go outside to inspect the exterior. That's where I saw the ants entering the home through a tiny crack around the foundation.
A Special Circumstance
For this particular situation, I applied a repellant that'll eliminate the ants on contact and force them to leave the treated areas. Using repellents in certain situations is the best way to go because it quickly removes the problem.
The Cowleys Ant Treatment
Afterwards, I applied a liquid residual along the entire exterior foundation as well as in the rooms where the ants were seen.
Sharing The Same Fate
The residual allow the ants to live long enough for them to carry the treatment back to their nest where they will share it by grooming or feeding one another. In a short amount of time, the entire colony is exterminated. I also sealed up all the gaps with a waterproof adhesive to prevent the ants from entering the home.
