Pests We Treat Photo Album: Exterminating Ants in Eatontown, NJ
While inspecting a home in Eatontown, NJ we discovered a nest of ants underneath a shrub.
Roaming Around the Mulch
As we began inspecting, we noticed a trail of ants in the mulch. We followed the trail about 20 feet to a shrub, where we found their main nest.
Mulch Holds Moisture
Mulch is an ideal hiding place for ants because it is often moist and goes undisturbed for long periods of time. The deeper the mulch, the more likely it is to serve as a popular hiding spot for ants and many other pests. It's important to annually remove the old mulch and replacing it with new mulch.
Bait Them Out
We applied an ant bait directly onto their nest, along all the shrubs, and throughout the landscape bed. As a precaution, we treated the exterior of the home with a liquid residual.
Transfer Among the Colony
Once the ants come in contact with these treatments, they'll bring them back to their nest and share it with their reproductive queen and the other ants. This rapidly transfers the treatments throughout the colony, and in a short amount of time, the ants are exterminated.
