Pests We Treat Photo Album: Pest Control in Middletown, NJ
While conducting an initial service for a new customer in Middletown, NJ, I noticed an ant trail near the front of the residence.
The Ants Go Marching
As I was about to treat the property, I spotted a trail of ants near the front of the house. I followed the trail down the driveway and along the sidewalk leading to a nest in the ground on the left side of the property.
Carpenter Ants
I took a closer look and identified them as carpenter ants, which are a type of wood-destroying pest. Carpenter ants don't eat wood, they only tunnel and chew through wood to create nests and typically reside in any wooden areas of a home that have moisture problems.
Dig Up the Carpenter Ants
I dug up the nest and treated it with liquid application and then applied a granular bait. Once the carpenter ants come in contact with either of these treatments, they'll bring it back to their nest and share it among one another. Shortly after, the entire colony is neutralized.
The Perimeter of the Home
I also treated the foundation, around the windows, and under the siding of the home with long lasting residual liquid product to prevent any future invading insects from entering the home.
