Pests We Treat Photo Album: Extreme Digger Bee Invasion in Leonardo, NJ
A homeowner in Leonardo, NJ was having a sever digger bee invasion.
Digger Bee Holes Everywhere
As soon as I pulled up, I spotted these pencil-sized dirt mounds all over. A closer look and I was able to identify them as digger bee holes.
Entomology of Digger Bees
Digger bees are 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch in size and are solitary, non-social wasps. Each hole is a separate, independent nest of digger bess. The females dig these half-inch to one inch deep burrows to nest and raise young.
Digger Bees Aren't a Threat
Digger Bees aren't aggressive at all and, unless you directly grab them, they do not sting. They do however destroy lawns.
Soak Each One
I soaked each digger bee mound with a liquid application.
Bye Bye Bees
Once the digger bees come in contact with this product, shortly after, they are eliminated.
