Pests We Treat Photo Album: Strip Mall Mouse Mayhem in Howell, NJ
One of our commercial accounts in Howell, NJ suddenly had an influx of mouse activity in their establishment. They were confused about how the mice were entering the building. It was up to Cowleys to provide a thorough inspection and treatment plan to rid this great store of the rodent activity.
Under the Grease Trap
After thoroughly inspecting the property and only finding a few entry points I decided to inspect further and lift the grease trap hatch. What I discovered was a ton of mouse droppings and several openings that mice could easily use to enter the building.
These Need to Be Sealed
Sealing these holes was imperative to fixing this issue. With the use of copper mesh and our premium sealant, I knew that I could achieve the goal of deterring the mice.
Cleaned & Stuffed
After carefully removing the droppings and sanitizing the area, with my spackle knife, I began pressing the cooper mesh into all of the gaps. The copper mesh works well because mice hate the taste of it and they are unable to chew through it.
Sealed in Place
Once the copper mesh was in place, it was time to apply the premium adhesive so the mice wouldn't simply push the mesh out. The premium adhesive consists of terpolymer technology and locks the copper mesh in place and cures much faster than regular caulk. I repeated this process to the other entry points.
Happy Customer
As a precaution, I placed a Ready-to-Use (RTU) rodent bait station in the grease trap hatch and in other parts in the building. I showed the client my findings and they were extremely happy that we located the point of entry. It's always satisfying to leave a location with a smiling client.
