Pests We Treat Photo Album: Bald-Faced Hornets Latch Onto Home in Farmingdale, NJ
We were sent out to an adult community in Farmingdale, NJ for an active hornet's nest that was attached to the rear of one of the homes.
No Idea
Upon my inspection, I easily spotted the hornets nest growing on the residents light fixture. When I spoke to the customer, they told me that they were unaware of the hornet's nest that was being built!
It was Bald-Faced Hornets
I took a closer look and identified these stinging insects as bald-faced hornets. Bald-faced hornets are extremely territorial and aggressive hornets.
Knocked Out
I used a liquid aerosol application to knock down the bald-faced hornets on contact.
No More Nest
After removing the nest, I treated the area with a residual product to prevent the hornets from trying to reconstruct the nest on the same site.
