Pests We Treat Photo Album: Pest Control in Matawan, NJ
A new residential client in Matawan, NJ called Cowleys complaining of wasps near the front of his house.
Large Expanding Nest
Within minutes we were able to locate the nest and identify these pests as bald-faced hornets.
What Do They Look Like
Bald-faced hornets are mainly black with white markings on their face. It takes about three weeks to go from egg to hornet. By the time the first two or three worker hornets emerge from the nest, the comb has about 40 cells. These stinging insects are territorial, extremely aggressive and will repeatedly sting anything that comes within close proximity to their nest.
Directly Treat the Nest
We proceeded to treat the nest with an aerosol flusher application and inject it directly into the nest.
Quick Elimination
This application immediately eliminates the bald-faced hornets on contact. Now that the bald-faced hornets are neutralized, we can properly dispose of the nest.
Remove the Nest
You can see the eggs in the chambers.
One Last Step
After removal, we treated the area where the nest was attached to siding with dust repellant application to prevent any future bald-faced hornets from rebuilding the nest on the same area.
