Pests We Treat Photo Album: Colony of Carpenter Ants Invade Pool House in Howell, NJ
A customer in Howell, NJ contacted Cowleys complaining of flying ants or possible termites found all over the interior of her pool house. When we inspected the pool house, we found a massive carpenter ant colony.
One Large Colony
Upon inspection, we found a large colony of carpenter ants and their eggs hiding under a rolled-up pool cover stored inside of the pool house.
Found Their Entry Point
While we were inspecting the exterior foundation of the pool house, we found an entry point in the rear. We observed carpenter ants crawling down a tree directly behind the pool house and making their way inside through a hole in the siding.
Three Treatments
We treated the access point with an direct contact aerosol application and then applied a liquid residual along the entire interior of the pool house and along the exterior of the home as well. We also treated the base of the tree and around the perimeter of the pool house with a granular bait.
Quickly Neutralized
Once the carpenter ants come in contact with either of these treatments, they will transfer it back to their colony. The applications quickly spreads like a virus, ensuring quick neutralization of the entire colony.
