Termites Dinning on the Walls in Toms River, NJ
Challenge
One day, this homeowner in Toms River, NJ, was sitting in his porch room, when he noticed some "chew marks" on his ceiling. He thought that they might be termites and called Cowleys for an inspection. Upon close inspection of the damage, we confirmed that these were inflicted by termites! No only that, but we also found some termite mud tubes in the corner of the porch room. Termites use these tunnels to travel to and from their nest when foraging for food. These protective tubes allow the termites to stay moist underground.
Solution
With the owners permission, we drilled into the walls and ceiling of the porch room and injected a foaming termiticide application. This application binds to the treated areas and creates a protective zone that the termites can't detect. Afterward, we drilled into the concrete surrounding the exterior of the home and injected a liquid version of the termiticide. The termites will unknowingly come in contact with this treatment as they go about their normal routine, bring it back to their nest, and transfer the treatments throughout their colony.
Once we finished, we plugged and filled in each of the drill holes around the exterior of the property. In a short amount of time, the termites will be exterminated and the home will be protected from termites for many years to come.
