Ants Crawling Under the Siding in Seaside Park, NJ
Challenge
During a routine treatment of a new Home Protection Plan customers home in Seaside Park, NJ, we found a large amount of ants on the right side of the home. As we inspected the area, we discovered that they were harboring underneath the rocks and entering the inside of the home by crawling underneath the siding of the property!
With the owners' permission, we inspected the interior of the home and, sure enough, found several trails of ants in the family room! Since this was the customers secondary residence and they didn't visit the home until the weather got warmer, they had no idea that the ant infestation was that severe!
Solution
First, treated the entire landscape with a granular bait. Afterward, we treated the entire exterior of the home and, at the owners request, the baseboards, cracks, and crevices of the family room with a liquid non-repellant. The worker ants are going to come in contact with either of these products and bring them back to their nest. They will then transfer the treatments to their reproductive queen and the other ants in the colony.
A short while later, the ant colony is exterminated.
