Homeowner Didn't See Bald-Faced Hornets Nest in Princeton Junction, NJ
Challenge
As she was pruning her hedges, this elderly homeowner in Princeton Junction, NJ didn't see the hornets nest in the bush and was stung several times. She ran inside and called Cowleys for help. When we arrived, we equipped our protective bee suit and spotted the large nest. As we took a closer look, we identified them as bald-faced hornets. Those are the stinging insects that have white markings on their face and a short temper. In fact, if anything comes within close proximity to their nest, they WILL attack!
Solution
First, we injected a knockdown aerosol application into the opening of the nest. After a few minutes, we treated the nest with a knockdown liquid product. Both treatments rapidly exterminate the bald-faced hornets. Once they were eliminated, we removed the nest and disposed of it properly.
