Tiny Gap in the Walkway is Perfect for Ants to Travel in Pennington, NJ
Challenge
As we were treating the home of a new Home Protection Plan customer in Pennington, NJ, we found a long trail of ants marching along in a tiny crack in the walkway. The ants were actually using this crack as a road. Ants like to feel pressure on multiple sides of their body and walk in tight spaces, which is called thigmotaxis.
Solution
First, we’re going to treat the cracks and crevices in the walkway, as well as the entire exterior of the home, with a light liquid application. Afterward, we placed an ant gel bait in between the cracks in the walkway. The ants will come in contact with either of these application, bring them back to their colony, and share the treatments with one another and their queen. A short while, the ants are exterminated.
