Cleaning Up and Reinsulating a Wet Crawl Space in Warren, NJ

Challenge

A new client in Warren, NJ had a severe water leak in her crawl space. It was repaired in time, but the insulation was soaked and contaminated and the humidity levels were extremely high. If left alone, mold and mildew will begin to form and create several health hazards for the family.

Solution

First, we removed all the contaminated insulation, discarded it properly, and installed new ComfortTherm® insulation. ComfortTherm® provides excellent temperature and noise control. Once we finished, we installed SilverGlo™ on the walls of the crawl space. SilverGlo™ is a waterproof foam insulation that seals the walls from outside moisture and humidity. Lastly, we installed a Sani-Dry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity levels in the basement.
