Bird Control Services Photo Album: Keeping the Starlings Out of the Football Stadium in Piscataway, NJ
The starlings decided to nest in the concrete ceiling of the party deck at this football stadium in Piscataway, NJ.
Loaded with Nesting Debris
We found several areas of the concrete ceiling that were full of nesting debris from the starlings.
Get it All Out
First, we carefully removed all of the nesting debris and then disinfected the areas with a solution that exterminates bird mites. Bird mites are blood sucking parasites that feed on the blood of birds. When birds leave their nests, the mites are left behind without a suitable host for their next blood meal, so they then make their way to other areas of a property and start feasting on the unsuspecting spectators! What makes bird mites even scarier is that they are tiny and semi-transparent, so they're extremely difficult to detect.
100lbs of Nesting Debris
In total, we removed over 100lbs of nesting debris from the starlings.
Install Bird Netting
Afterward, we removed the old material and installed bird netting. In order make sure the bird netting is secured, we used a stainless steel cable with net spikes and anchored it into the walls. We then locked the cables in place using copper ferrules and then installed turnbuckles which tighten the cable.
Bird Netting is Heavy Duty
Bird netting is a 3/4 inch, heavy duty polyethylene bird netting that's used to humanely block the starlings, and other nuisance birds, from entering any unwanted areas.
Excluded From all Nuisance Birds
It creates an impenetrable barrier that denies all nuisance birds access to the areas and removes the landing areas for them. The starlings are going to fly around, realize they can't enter, and move on. Now the stadium is properly excluded from all nuisance birds.
