Nesting on the Light Fixtures
Birds were' roosting in this parking garage and defecating all over the area. You can see some of the bird nests on the light fixtures and in the corners of the parking garage.
Install a Bird Net
To prevent the birds from roosting in this area, we're installing a bird net.
To Make Sure It's Secure
In order make sure the bird netting is secured, we used a stainless steel cable with net spikes...
Anchored In
...anchored it into the walls and then locked the cable in place using copper ferrules.
Turnbuckles
We also installed turnbuckles which tighten the cable.
Secured the Net in
We also used hog rings which secures the cable and connects it to the bird netting
Bird Netting
Bird netting is 3/4 inch, heavy duty polyethylene bird netting used to humanely block birds from entering any unwanted areas.
Denies Access
It creates an impenetrable barrier that denies all nuisance birds the access to any architectural structure on your property.
Added Zippers
We also added in several large zipper sections so that the workers can have easy access to maintain the area.
Safe & Heathy Environment
The bird netting removes the bird landing areas. They will fly around, realize they can't enter, and move on. Now the birds will no longer roost in this area and both the faculty & the students have a safe and healthy environment to work in.
